Again I've been slacking. The past couple of months have just seemed so crazy, that I haven't had much time for anything. I finally got back to scrapbooking after a several month hiatus - thanks to the National Scrapbooking month activities at www.houseofpaper.com Great inspiration. We are currently working on laying laminate flooring in the lower level of our house and then moving the bedrooms from the upper to the lower level. Along with this will come lots of purging and reorganizing...YAY!!!
Bray just turned 5, so hard to believe!!! And only a couple more months until Ty turns 3. Time is just flying by.
What else is going on:
Going through the process of becoming a member of Fellowship church. Eric and I just finished doing the Alpha program and we are going to be forming a care group in September with the Alpha group members. Should be fun, but also hopefully the encouragement Eric and the other members need to find Christ.
Kids are going to the daycare full time, but I still haven't been to the gym in months. Really have to evaluate that, and either make the commitment to get back to the gym, or cancel the membership. Just so hard at this time of year when I'd rather be out enjoying the beautiful weather than being inside a gym.
And speaking of weather, it's just been so beautiful lately. I've been so tempted to but the A/C on, it's been that warm in the house. But it's still quite early for that. Plus we're trying to conserve, so our hydro bill will be lower.
Yes, the budget...we are all about the budget right now. I spent at day going over all our bills and using templates from Gail vazOxalade, host of 'Til Debt Do Us Part, to put together a budget. We just finished our first week and so far so good. Living on cash makes it so much easier because it's right in front of you, and you now have a challenge of getting to the end of the week before the end of the money.
So that's it for now. Probably the most I've ever written on here. :D

I have updated my 101 Goals list. Doing very well, and accomplishing a lot. It really is a great feeling when I can mark something as being DONE.

I still need to finish uploading the rest of my JYC album.

I started doing Project 365 - which involves taking a picture everyday of the year. Not sure yet how I'm going to display the pictures, but I am currently uploading them to Flickr, along with a description, so when I'm ready to do the album, everything is there.

A few of my favourite Christmas photos!!!

Thursday, December 18, 2008

The topic for the 17th was to write about the perfect gift, one you had received or had given. I have written about both in the past, so this year, I wrote about a gift that I thought was going to be great, and it didn't get received too well. This one is done on an acrylic page.

The craft challenge for the 14th was to use a tag. So I decided to make my entire entry a tag. I used a premade tag, and did the journaling on the back.

This is done on an acrylic page.

The craft idea for today was to do hidden journaling. I did all my writing underneath the coasters.

You are not imagining it...all the pics are green, and no, it was not done on purpose. Apparently the ink cartridge was defective, and only had blue and yellow ink in it. I didn't realize this until I had already printed my pics. But when I saw how they turned out, I really liked it, and so they stayed that way. Although now I have to buy a new ink cartridge.

This one was done on a coaster.

Journal Your Christmas

Once again, I am doing Journal Your Christmas from www.shimelle.com This will be the 3rd year in a row for me. I love doing JYC, as I find it helps to put me in the Christmas spirit, and also is a fun way to document my feelings about Christmas - past, present and future.
This year, I started out with a 6x6 acrylic album and will be adding pages to it using binder rings. Each page is going to be different - made with different mediums, different sizes, etc, inspired by a format that Ali Edwards had on her blog a few weeks ago.
Below are the first 3 entries in my journal:
